    Stitching for eye splice?

What type of thread do you guys use when stitching down your eye splices on whoopie slings? Would mason's line work?

I just use a good strong polyester thread ... works fine for me. Of course I've only made two sets myself!

This stitching is not load bearing, just about anything will do. I have run stitches using a sewing machine, run stitches using Lash-It (overkill!!!), run stitches using deraveled strands from a cut section of the same cord. Very stealthy that one.

I used a strand of the line itself. Same color, blends nicely.

I have big hands and fingers, though. So using the strand was easier than using thread, for me.

Poly thread works just as well.

Thanks, I think I'll probably just use some poly thread.

+1 on the sewing machine. Messy, but saves a lot of time. Any polyester thread should be fine.

Last few times, I have also just used the sewing machine. I set the stitch length as long as it will go & hand crank 10 stitches. Looks much neater than my sloppy hand stitches.

Hmmm dont know what I used. It was in my wifes sewing box. I may have to re sew it some time just to be safe.
