Some questions on your adjustable ridgeline though. Instead of useing surgical tubeing you just used elastic/bunge cord. Then bunched up the rope in the middle and tied the bunge to the rope. This keeps the tension on the tarp? Any DIY instructions? Thanks again shug, and ya know, the more information you teach to me the more questions I come up with...
Yep .... Headchange4u has a brilliant tutorial: Tensioners

Thanks for pointing out what should have been painfully obvious to me! Camp set up just got esier!
It's the little tidbits that make me keep watching. Well, that and: the big bits-o-info, the sillyness, the views in "the piny woods".
Keep em coming, I am learning just how much I don't know.
I copped it from Stormcrow ...... I like just knowing a couple of knots and using them for everything. Under-achiever to the end!!!!!

Just want to make a clarification.... The tubing I use for the tensioners is Silicone tubing. It is not effected by the cold. Unless its getting close to -100. If you are out and its around -100... I want to see the vid!!!
Now I gotta test one of those in sub 0º to really be a believer!!!!!!! I will test one for ya' next winter.

The camera is just stuck into my headlamp strap around my head on a small tripod. Total hill-billy rig!!!!! Nothin' fancy.

Is excellent series of videos. Make big trouble for Moose and Squirrel.

    Exclamation IWBNN Reporting (Long!)

Returning from the piney woods, International Whooooooooooo Buuudddyyy Network News reporting on this ninth edition of the “Hammock Hangin' How-To & Whatnot ... Essentials For Noobs” super sticky! What a series we have had so far...Shug has covered:

    1)Fundamentals
2)Under quilts, Top Quilts and some warmth tips.
3)Getting settled in the hammock and a peek at webbing suspension
    4)Warbonnet BlackBird Hammock. Warbonnet ON!
    5)Tarps
    6)More tarps!
7)Even more tarps! Tarps are great! Whoooooooooooooo!
    8)Overnighter
9)A bit of indulgence with Tarp Rap...special cameo appearances!

and the master piece is now soon to be on deck...... #10

Whooooooooooooo Buddddyyyyyyyyyyy! It's gonna be goood!

    But don't fear afterwards...

Shug's got another adventure planned soon with Wander'nFool...

and more importantly!!!! Shug's Deep Winter Hang!!!! You heard that right—Shug may be hosting a hang!

But this hang is not for everyone. You will need to bring your top “AAA” game for this one. Otherwise, Minnesota deep winter cold may take you out permanently!

I liken Shug's Deep Winter Hang to the Olympics of Hammock Hanging. So get training! If he hosts, it will be something to behold...

    Goodnight Y'all....

    Thanks Shug!

    IWBNN out!
