I have been considering getting one of the Dutchware bird'snest bugnets for the kids and myself. I wonder if anyone on this thread has had experience with it. 20170825_183703.jpg20170825_183703.jpg

I have one and used it at BaconFest last year with my son. It worked well, but made setup and take down more finicky/time consuming. I still haven't decided whether I want to keep it or not, but my son definitely like the fact that we were sharing the same space.

The attraction for me is that I would be enclosed with the kids which might make them feel more comfortable and safe in a new environment.

How does that work for having both hammocks side by side? Are they supported by the same tree and just kept apart with a spreader bar? Sorry if this is a dumb question, just starting out in the hammock style and want to get my kids into it. My main hesitation for it is making sure they feel secure while doing so. This could help.

Yes, exactly, and ideally under the same bugnet.

Sounds like the route I'll take once I figure my own setup out. Until then we will use the tent for when we all go.

I am looking for a good budget setup for him with a hammock, Bugnet and tarp. He will be carrying his own gear so would like it to not weigh a ton As he is making a CDT quilt set that he also will carry. Any good ideas without breaking the bank that is still worth buying
