Two Speed Hammocks, Hammocks and Accessories
Almost there! We're about a week out now. I've been watching the weather. Right now, it looks like it's going to be a B-E-A-U-tiful weekend! There's a chance of rain Friday night and low around 50. Sunny and 75 Saturday with no rain again until Sunday afternoon. It looks like we have about 25-ish of us coming, so it'll make the work part pretty quick before we get back to the more important part - food and fire.
Interesting side tidbit, Facebook told me this morning that today is 5 years to the day of the first Work and Hang in Powhatan State Park.

Hi everyone!
It looks like we will have a great turnout for this hang! If you have subscribed to this thread, but have not officially signed up, please do so as soon as possible. I will be giving a head count to the Park tomorrow.
Also, it appears we are a little short on food for the community breakfast and dinner on Saturday. If you are able to contribute, please sign up on the food page. I have never known this group to leave anyone hungry, but we do have 25 people signed up currently. I suppose it could happen.
Thanks everyone! Looking forward to next weekend!

I'll be bringing something for breakfast and dinner. Just haven't figured out what yet.

Is there an address for this? Just want to update my calendar so it'll publish into Waze.

Hey Wanderlost - No need to bring an extra tarp for me. I ordered some tarps from Dutch to add to my gear stash. I can also bring some danish or something for bkfst in addition to hot chocolate and OJ.
Not sure what to bring for dinner - grandson has particular food preferences and I’m not that great at cooking yet.
I know I’ll be bringing Doritos and stuff like white bread and american cheese with us so can bring additional chips to supplement the carnitas and chili mac. Let me know of any other ideas.
Dang it!
Becoming the Frameshop Manager I thought I would able to make my schedule more flexible to get away for these hangs. I was wrong. Now I am very bummed because I HAVE to work Saturday. I am really going to miss this hang.

Hey everyone! What follows is your long-awaited directions into our camping area. This is excerpted from the email I received today. You do not need to check in at the visitor center.
-Everyone can just go to the Campsite
-For parking along gravel path on sides, around gravel pile near larger group shelter. Just Do Not park in the campsite area
Directions to Group Campsite
* From the Visitor Center parking lot take a left, then proceed to the left lane on Route 11 South. You will pass the hotel on your right.
*Within a quarter of a mile you should see a left turn marked Golf Course Rd (Rt.760 on the map). A large state park sign is located on the left of the road. Take that left. If you reach the convenience dump site on your right, you've gone too far.
*Once you are on Golf course road, continue for about half a mile and you will see a parking area to your left, marked with a sign. If you reach a neighborhood and driveways you've gone too far.
*On the left is a gravel area with a gate open and drive down gravel path.
*On the left will be campsite #1
*At the end of the gravel path is a large group shelter
*To the right of the group shelter is campsite #2
*To the left of the group shelter is campsite #3
Great looking Forward to the group coming out to Natural Bridge.
