I sent an e-mail to SLD and their response was the insulated portion is the same regardless of size - remainder is just uqp.
wait. Maybe I'm not understanding. I think I need to go back and look at some of the videos of this thing. I was under the impression that the insulation was on the outside of the fabric so that it wouldn't compressed when you lay in the hammock. but your comment makes me wonder if the insulation is on the inside of the fabric. Can you confirm? if it's on the outside of the fabric so that it doesn't compress, then it wouldn't really be an underquilt protector right?

Insulation is on outside so that it won't compress. It won't work the other way. It started out as an UQP but then Jared added insulation with Short Rounds vision.

Gotcha. rboles can clarify, but I'm thinking he was saying that the uninsulated, hammock-like part of the Trail Winder is made out of similar material to what you'd make an UQP out of.

Yes same fabric for UQP and Trail Winder UQ body and insulation fabric.

Correct - the only portion that changes with the length is the part that is UQP material - insulation portion is static.
Both of mine argon 90 and 9ft for my 11ft hammocks
Left summer 40 degree
Charcoal gray is climashield 3.6
Right winter 20 degree
Dark olive is climashield 6.0

Just ordered a 10' charcoal grey TW stuffed with CS 6.0 for my 2nd Chameleon. I'm headed to Maine for a week next month, and I really want to see if my 3 y/o will go for spending the week in the Double Dutch setup.
Let us know how it goes with that set up.... I've been thinking of getting a Chameleon for a while now to retire my XLC, and if I do I will prolly get one for my 6yo with the Double Dutch also. She just isn't comfortable hanging by herself yet and its BEYOND UNCOMFORTABLE with her in my hammock all night after she gets out of hers within 5 mins of getting in lol. And If I buy all that, I'll need another UQ since she has just been using my 10° OneTigris for now. I already wanted to get another TW for myself to have one for the winter so I guess I better start saving now! The hard part will be hiding all that from the wife, I could proly get away with just the 2 quilts no problem, but the quilts AND an entire 2 Chameleon setup? Man I might be permanently living in that new Chameleon lol.
