Let us know how it goes with that set up.... I've been thinking of getting a Chameleon for a while now to retire my XLC, and if I do I will prolly get one for my 6yo with the Double Dutch also. She just isn't comfortable hanging by herself yet and its BEYOND UNCOMFORTABLE with her in my hammock all night after she gets out of hers within 5 mins of getting in lol. And If I buy all that, I'll need another UQ since she has just been using my 10° OneTigris for now. I already wanted to get another TW for myself to have one for the winter so I guess I better start saving now! The hard part will be hiding all that from the wife, I could proly get away with just the 2 quilts no problem, but the quilts AND an entire 2 Chameleon setup? Man I might be permanently living in that new Chameleon lol.

I let my XLC go for the Chameleon mainly because of the fact that I could--eventually, one day--piece together the Double Dutch system. I'm happy I did. I've shared my single hammock with my kid too, and he sleeps great... but at 35 lbs he takes some comfort out of hanging, and he's only getting bigger. So I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I have a SnugPak TQ for him but I was lacking a UQ. I use a Wooki XL with my Chameleon and love it. I have a lot of SLD gear and it's all well-crafted stuff. With all of the positive reviews, I'm anxious to try the Trail Winder. I have my hammock permanently set up in my office, so I plan to tweak it for my single setup and bring it all on this trip. I hope he enjoys it.

congrats on the order....what happen to the moroccan blue?

I like Moroccan Blue, but my HG set is that color (outside) and I wanted something different. When I placed the order (last Friday) the 3.6 insulation showed as "+1 week to ship", so I guess they were/are out of stock. I've placed smaller orders and gotten them much quicker than expected. I actually have a trip next weekend to Treasure Island (one of, if not the oldest Scout camps in the country) next weekend, but I'm not expecting it that quickly.

Yea he must have been out of it then. When I ordered mine he shipped it the next day. You will have it in time for your July trip.

My SLD Trail Winder arrived yesterday. Here it is on my Chameleon with no adjustment:

It fits as well as or better than my Wooki. It actually pulls up quite a bit higher on the sides especially if I pull 2-3" through each side cord lock.
