I'm sure some of the other Hennessey users might have other/better ideas.
If I can get my sewing machine fixed I just might do that

Is the zipper really #10? I cant really tell prom the photos.
Any how, thanks very much for the pics.

Now, If Tom is really putting these hammocks on the market, it might be also possible that he has to offer a SS for this zippered model, meaning a SS without a bottom entry slit... that would be nice, a SS without that ugly crunched up bottom opening slit, also maybe working better to trap bottom heat.

Curious ... is it a left side zip or right side zip? Still have the bottom entry slit?

I couldn't tell ya what it is exactly, but they are fairly big, sturdy zippers for sure.

Appears to me that the zipper is on the right side as I'm laying in the hammock. Just for reference, in case I'm in the thing backwards or something, my head is left of center near the asym tie-out.
There's no bottom entry slit on it.
I've zero experience with a Hennessy and I broke my stand yesterday, so I'm not entirely sure which way I'm supposed to lay in it... but I did follow the instructions on the packaging, so I think I was in there correctly.

EDIT: for reference, on the pic where you can see the whole thing there, my head end would be the left side of the pic. That is, if I had it right.

Has anyone seen official specs from Tom on this new Exped, or is he going large chain on us for special marketing of new mod offerings?

Has anyone noted whether the bottom entry is still included and if so, what side would the zipper be on in in reference?
Nope, he has it listed on his site...It is open to all..One new feature I like is the new addition of a "Space insulation pad" under the hammock..I was wondering if anyone has tried this yet?? I also like the Free "Hex Fly" he is offering with the hammock..

One thing I dont like about REI is theirs dosnt come with the snake skins, where when you purchase it on Toms site it does..along with the new Hex Fly..Same price, more goodies..sounds like a deal to me...

Doh! Had a forehead slapper moment today. It says right on the outside of the stuff sack, in the directions:
"...lay back in the hammock with the zipper on your right side..."

Of course I've had the thing set up and torn down 5 times before I even glanced at the directions!
