One of the best/easiest things to do is put your hand between the UQ and hammock...hopefully you can feel the UQ is snug against your butt. And depending on how flexible you are, you can reach up towards your back or down towards legs (without changing your lay) to determine if there are any gaps there.
Yeah, if you adjusted the primary suspension at all, and it wasn't left at its loosest, the most likely thing is that the primary suspension shock cord slipped through the adjustment hardware, not that it lost any of its elasticity. You can try the suggestion above about securing it with a half-hitch after adjusting it to your liking.
If you have someone else available, get in the hammock and have them help you adjust it.

Keep me posted if you're seeing any loss in elasticity on the shock cord. It shouldn't lose any elasticity. Like others have said, it's possible to shock cord has loosened in the secondary suspension (the line coming off each corner through the line locs). A half hitch will keep it locked in place if you're noticing slippage.
