    Nice hack. The one thing I never liked about those buckles was it was a PITA to loosen them once they got tight. Have to see if I can drill a hole in one of mine to add the cord.
    I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

    Good idea. Warbonnet buckles are the best. Sometimes to a fault. I've had a few instances where <nameless hiking partner> overtightened them and i spent a good 15 minutes trying to wriggle them loose.

    Instead of drilling a hole to modify existing buckles couldn’t you just tie a small loop of cord around one of the buckles?

    I asked Brandon this in the YouTube comments. He said:
    You could tie some cord on it (the buckle) but it can interfere with the buckles biting down on the webbing at higher loads. The drill hole eliminates any issue with that.
