Anyone know what’s up with the diamondback side elastic option?
IS it like katabatic or nunataks design, where elastic runs vertical
along the quilt edge, helping to seal the underside?

DOWNTOWN BROWN!!!!
A good and interesting question. Not sure what this is ...
I ordered my Diamondback just a few days after it was announced, and don't recall this offered as an add-on option back then. Also don't see it mentioned in the features for either the zip- or sewn-footbox versions.
Yes, this is just shockcord on the sides...as an optional add-on
Thanks. I’ve admired that elastic option on said other quilt vendors,,,
While I’ve no direct experience, it’s always interested me as intelligent and functional design.
Brandon, PM coming about a custom diamondback option...

DOWNTOWN BROWN!!!!
Never heard about this. Can someone please explain?
HandyRandy,
Mid-Atlantic Mountain Works, who isn't making quilts just now, designed this and call it their shock cord system. Two short videos show how it works: https://www.mid-atlanticmountainworks.com/videos.html
The people at Nunatak call their version of this edge tension control, and have a diagram here: https://nunatakusa.com/content/19-st...e=&theme_font=.
I'm not sure if Bandon offers this with the zip footbox, or just the sewn in one.
It is available on both versions
Very interesting. I plan on getting a Scandinavian Diamondback for next winter and I might try this out for that one.
