    I Been Skooled

I've been sitting here, drinking my coffee, and making a tarp ridgeline...got one locked Brummel done, and as I was running the line through my fingers to start on the other end, I felt something funny. Upon inspection, there was an irregularity in the Dynaglide...all of the strands were intact, but it was loose, and funky, and "not right."

I prolly could use it for a lifetime w/o failure, but I would always know it was there, so I cut and spliced it.

Lesson: feel it up before you cut.

Don't try to confuse us with facts when our minds are already made up!

More seriously, thanks, cause I wouldn't have thought of that. Just assumed the rope was fine.....too trusting in manufacturing process I guess.

Samson products are the same way. Ocassionally you get a glob of dye...... Or a spot in the braid where it looks like the tension went askew.

I've also noticed places where an individual strand was spliced into the braid - one strand ended and they ran 2 together until the old one ended.

Nawh ... going to take the high road ... even if the old gray cells got a chuckle out of walking past such a great straight line.

WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.
