I spent Hammock Day working on my HH Clone with interchangeable bug net and overcover. The hammock body is tan color and the overcover is a desert digital camo. It'll be a hydrid because I'm putting velcro down one sidea and a zipper down the other side. When I get it finished I'll try to do a write up and pictures, but it may be a couple more weeks before I get done.

    I spent Hammock Day ill.

It was not cool! I had a bunch of people lined-up to take some fun pics and spread the hammock gospel. One of my friends has been bitten by the hammock bug so he came over a borrowed 3 of my hammocks and did the hammock party in the park for me.

The best I could do was go take a nap in the yard in my DIY (The Cannibal Alpha) for a couple of hours.

    Sick on Hammock Day
No fun in the park for me
    Hurry-up next year!

My next project will be a top cover. I'm gonna go by the ideas found here:

I spent Hammock Day morning exploring the upper and lower cascades at Hanging Rock State Park, near Danbury, NC. I took my oldest daughter (DD1) and my 13 year old nephew hammock camping Saturday night, and spent the morning hanging out by the fire before breaking camp to go hike down to the falls. We were visited by a couple of deer while setting up and while breaking down camp.

I had a fellow camper come by to ask about the hammocks while I broke camp... . The hammocks attact a lot of attention still in the family campgrounds I've been to. The campground hosts (a retired couple who collect the camping fees) also thought they were cool.

    For Shame

I spent it sleeping on the floor
I was however using a Byer as a bug bivi
The stall I was working in at the Wickerman Festival (remember Brit Ekland anybody) wasn't quite as sturdy as the one I hung from at my last festival.
It was 6m sq however, making it a bit bigger than my old tent (and definately not the thing for backpacking).

I badly need a collapsible stand that doesn't take up too much room so that this doesn't happen again.

Yeah it was an experience but I had a great time and made some friends but unfortunately did not meet Brit.
I did happen to fall on top of a lovely lady when teaching her to unicycle.

I am also developing a fetish for women in short skirts and wellington boots. (which seems to be this years fashion at UK festivals ). I suppose a lot of people will find that strange and ask 'what's wrong with women wearing normal stuff like hiking boots and waterproofs?'
