As to nights, I'm flexible on what you, Redwing or others are up for . Friday night is my default plan, but what do you think?

consecutive months since the start, 9/2015 through 11/2022
My weekend is open, I’m working tonight and not due back till Sunday afternoon. So If Friday, I’d have to get my act together and packed up that morning to head out and if Saturday I’ll have to get my act together and packed out and heading back Sunday morning. Friday looks to be wetter and Saturday colder but Friday might have a slight edge schedule wise.

Site 7 info.
Park and Pack Site 7To reach Site 7, park at the Bridle Trail Area discussed in the section for Sites 1 through 4. Instead ofheading south through the area, walk north across State Route 97 and follow a powerline right-of-way/bridle traildownhill for 50 yards. You will see Forest Road 58 straight ahead at the bottom of the hill. As you cross SR 97, youwill see a 4 x 4 post indicating you are at Intersection A on the bridle trail system. At the bottom of the hill, you will seeanother post marking Intersection Q. At this intersection, you will go left and follow another powerline right-ofway/bridle trail for 0.25 mile and make a right onto a gas access road. A large electrical generator sits at the entranceto the access road. A Carsonite sign with an arrow pointing straight and a number 7 on it will be located at thisjunction. Follow the gas access road for 0.25 mile. As you approach Site 7, you will walk through a clear-cut areaaround a gas well. The campsite sits on the left, about 100 yards past the gas well. This site has been relocated dueto the clearing around the gas well. The current site is not level and finding an appropriate spot to pitch a tent couldbe difficult. The qualities of this site are not nearly as desirable as those found at some of the other sites. As an alternate way to Site 7, you can meet a mountain bike trail near Intersection Q and follow it to where itpasses the gas well clear-cut and turn right. The distance from Intersection Q to the gas well clear-cut going this wayis 0.4 mile.

Diz and I made it to Mohican, but RedWing got sidelined. We found Site 7 without too much difficulty and had a quiet nite under cloudless skies and temps in the low 20s. Coyotes and a deer nosing around camp kept me up at times, but the sky was gorgeous!
Not sure I'm crazy about the site....it is on a fairly noticeable slope... at least I noticed it, Diz seemed unfazed!
This pic is NOT tilted!

I don't know what this was but it was hanging in clumps all over.

I made it to RRG this past weekend. Spent the day Saturday hiking off trail locating hidden arches and other cool features. Weather was great and we found a little known gem of a campsite. I am thinking of going back in two weeks for some more exploring before the vegetation gets to thick.3A519D1F-6EA8-4512-9B8F-A3756104AC37.jpgBE497B7F-618D-463C-8C95-6BA8C1134246.jpeg4C03873E-2DC5-4721-A425-E791B3F65D7D.jpg6CF29760-6324-416D-865B-6800A3DC3161.jpg

Looks like a great time was had by all. My dramur xl should be here Friday. Give her a good shake down here in the hour and I should be good to “hang” out with you all soon.
