KAMsnaps for foot box?

Does anyone have experience with Kamsnaps? I am going to purchase a kit to use for projects. To start with, I want to use them to convert my Costco Down throw into a top quilt. My concern is that I move quite a lot at night and I am worried they will unsnap in the middle of the night. I don't want to sew the foot box, because I want to be able to use the throw in different configurations.
Please advise. Thanks.

I use them on everything and have NO COMPLAINTS, just make sure of the thickness needed. Snaps come 8n a regular, long and along according to your materials.

There is absolutely no way you are going to accidentally unsnap them. These buggers are pretty tough.

Kam snaps work great on a foot box. I have had the top snap come undone on a synthetic TQ multiple times. Usually, it happens when first pulling on the quilt. It's not a big deal and you can just snap it back up, but it's annoying when it's cold. They also seem to loosen up with use. Something to tie together above the top snap would fix it.

I had a few break apart when building the Castor/Pollux kit from the Costco down quilts. Simple enough to replace those and I wrote it off as lesson learned. I suspect I didn’t have the Kamsnap centered in the crimp cup.

I've noticed it depends a lot on the colors you pick also. My gray and black ones are solid, but i had a batch of bronze ones that were extremely brittle. I broke over half of them during assembly.

Size 20 (T5) snaps are what I have had the best luck with. I use them on my summer TQs.
Anything smaller does come unsnapped easily.

I even put snaps at the two top corners of the TQ to snap my liner inplace (when I use one).

I recently made a footbox in a TQ using kamsnaps, and I'm also an active sleeper. the topmost snap, about knee level, often unsnaps. that may mean that it is located too high.

Same here. I finally sewed some thin grosgrain on each side just above the first snap so I can just tie it shut.
