Sawubona from South Africa and Beyond

    Good day,

I can't believe that I haven't made any posts on this forum, I've lurked for years and have been a registered member for at least the last 2-3 years, that being said I am not so good with the social media thing.

Been cycle touring and hammock camping around China for the last two years but currently find myself in Tajikistan, which is 98% mountainous, so most of the overnight hiking I do here is above the tree line.

Owing to severe spinal problems since January this year and a microdisectomy a few weeks ago I am home bound with nerve damage, and muscle atrophy in my one leg so we have been doing a lot of hammock camping in our back garden (two kids and swambo) and will most likely do a lot more mild outdoor trips with the family which will feature a lot more hammock camping.

    Cheers,

    Nic

So glad that you've finally decloaked and made yourself known. Anybody who can casually toss out the conversational "been cycle touring and hammock camping around China" must have some stories (and photos?) to share and thus is gonna be much better at this social media stuff than most of us. Welcome to the game.
    Cheers.

    Thank you,

Not sure I have any great photos to share, I do have in the back of my mind to start a blog type thing but for now I still prefer to experience life through my own eyes instead of through the lens (or LCD screen) of a camera.
