There’s forked run. I have heard good things about it.
Archers fork is about 1:45 north of me. Never heard of it till now. Looks nice.

Is the walk in primitive site in the state campgrounds or where is it? Was looking to bring the kids down there later in the summer

Yeah, in the park, close to the regular camping spots.

I might be able to make that work. Too far off to be sure as of now.

Should be a great weekend. Make sure to take along a sack for mushroom hunting. Should be l perfect timing. I have a commitment in Michigan or I would tag along.

me and the wifey just got back from wildcat hollow. saddly no morels were found but we really weren't l9king very much. spring wildflowers are in full force though. trails were way muddier than I remember but I used to mainly go in the fall. we got caught in some rain as I was setting up camp back in the cedar run valley so we both stayed under my hammock gear CF standard hex, no doors. rain turned into a decent thunderstorm overnight. both of us stayed dry and warm with just a little splash up on to my underquilt. was hoping to test my new dutchware CF asym tarp, maybe next time. overall a good trip with the wifey.

Sounds like you had a nice trip! I had a lot of family issues this month, but I managed to little hangs. The first was at a resort in Florida...in their crappy net/spreader bar beach hammocks! I took 3 towels and snuck out after dark. Towels were my UQ, TQ and pillow. Felt kinda silly but the weather was amazing. The fun part was talking a security guard into letting me stay!

When I got home, I decided to pull out some old gear and do a yard hang. A Hammeck Stand, my old Roaming Gnome from DH and my first Zepplin UQ. ****, that RG is comfy!
