I get mine in concentrate from my local Tractor Supply Co and just mix up my own in a spray bottle. Then I set up my hammock outside and hang all my gear to be sprayed on the suspension. Works great and keeps the mosquitos and ticks away. I don't mind overspray, since it's dirt cheap to mix my own.
I'm going to do the same soon, Dave. I don't trust even one wash, or myself to remember what was treated last year. So everything I hike in will get sprayed.
I get mine in bulk. 10% concentrate only takes 1/3 of an ounce to make a quart of spray. The whole family's entire summer wardrobe gets treated twice a year. That way we never have to worry about em. I've not had a problem after a few washes. I trust it and it's not let me down yet.

I use the concentrate too. I think it was $12 on amazon...basically a lifetime for me. But I am going to sacrifice some to hose down my shed...carpenter bees are chewing that up real nice. Not sure how they feel about permethrin but we'll see.
Yesterday I sprayed shoes, socks, shirt and pants. I mixed the concentrate as usual. The Sawyer spray bottle seemed to clog up so I put a Windex trigger on to finish the job.
After drying I noticed everything was coated in very fine glitter, looks like aluminum shavings. Not very noticeable until the light hits it right. I don't know what's going on there. The concentrate is only a year old.
The odor seems much stronger than usual. I had them hanging outside then into the garage. The whole garage smells like permethrin now. I guess I won't need to worry about bugs on my upcoming trip...or anything living.
