    material questions

I'm ordering some supplies from OWF

What kind of Polypro webbing do I want for Hammock Straps? "Heavy Link" Or "Tight Weave".

What is a "Trovato Buckle", as opposed to a side release buckle?

    TIA for any help

tom, i saw where they had (trovato) beside some of the slide release buckles, but i don't know what that is either.
i googled it, but most of what i saw was about italian food or clothes???
maybe you could give OWF a call & ask... then fill us in.
maybe it's an italian style buckle<G>. ...tim

about the buckles. Trovato seems to have a reputation of "top of the class"

    What about the webbing??

    Heavy Link or Tight weave.

I guess I could just call.

    Thanks.

So that you know as much as I:

The heavy Link has higher tensile strength,(700 versus 600 lbs) so that's what I ordered.

The Trovato Side Release Buckles are great. I can't imagine one ever releasing on it's own (like the WalMart cheapies do)

    Also

Outdoor Wilderness Fabric is a very good supplier. Quick to answer questions, quick to ship and unlike eBay Bast'ds only charges the exact shipping costs
