What size hammock are you finding the mos comfortable? 10 11 and how about widths. Any side sleepers?

I'm 5'4" and have been perfectly comfortable in 10' and 11' hammocks. Never tried anything shorter. My 10 footer is ~60" wide and my 11 footer is 72" wide. I don't side-sleep in a hammock.

5'2" and I sleep just fine in a 10' but find the 11' and 12' more comfortable. I don't notice a big difference in width.

My first hammock was a Hennessy which I find very comfortable. I've DIY'd a couple of 11 footers and can't tell any difference. An early DIY is less than 9' and it's ok too. I wouldn't like a hammock any wider than 60" either. The only way you can know is to try different lengths out. You could buy 4 yards of fabric, tie an overhand knot at each end creating the length you want to test, and larkshead knot your suspension lines or webbing behind each knot. Didn't like the 10 footer? Take it apart and re-tie at a longer length. Good luck!

I'm 5' even and I use a 11' hammock but never tried a 10' one. I prefer wide hammocks Bothe my dream hammocks is 11' and made with hyperD XL and made wide as possible. I have a SLD tree runner that's 60in and I don't find it as comfortable as my wide hammock, I lay at an extreme angle though

Some "11 ft" hammocks turn out to be 10.5 ft - sort of like a 2 x 4 can legally be 1.5 x 3.5. As such, I can't tell much difference between 10 ft and 11 ft. But there is clearly a difference between my different hammocks - proabably more to do with the stretchiness (or lack there of) of material and issues like 1.7 single layer vs 1.2 double layer.

The good news is, you can get a length under quilt and it will fit full length for you.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

I am 5ft 2ins. and shrinking. I like the shorter GE hammocks they are an easier exit for me. Yes, I sleep on my side. I have two Simply Light Design Hammocks I really like and find to be an easy exit.

    5'6"..5'5" on a good day. Used 11" x 65" then went to 10' x 65", now I'm @ 10.5" x 60"

10.5' x 60" is the sweet spot for me. I can maintain a good asym lay and still see out of the hammock. Longer + wider sort of swallowed me up.

Thanks everyone so far who has contributed to advice and experience. I have been testing some different variables. So far I feel just as comfortable in a 10’ as an 11’ as long as it’s at least 58” but I think 60 would be better
