SW MIssouri hang?

I keep checking for any hangs near me (which is tricky at the intersection of 3 regions), but never find one. So.... maybe we should put one together? Just gauging interest for something in SW Missouri. Actual location and date to be chosen later by those interested in doing this, so let's get a discussion going if your nearby or would consider coming to SW Missouri for a hang.

It is tricky. I monitor the Southwest, Midwest and Southeast and I have been to one hang in each. The longest drive was about 9 hours. It's worth it to me though. Unfortunately my hanging season is about over. I hate the heat.

Why not suggest some locations and times? Where do you normally go to hike/camp etc? I'm in east/central MO, but might be interested depending on time an availability.

I'm in the process of moving from south-central to southwest Missouri and would definitely be interested in joining a group hang. Name the time and place and I'll most likely be able to make it, possibly the wife too. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

I'm thinking near the Arkansas/Missouri/Oklahoma line to hopefully combine the 2 threads I have going into 1 hang across 3 regions and draw more people (We can call it the 3-Regions Hang?), and perhaps late May or early June if that isn't too soon. Open to suggestions though and aiming for a group-planned event or to spur someone else into putting one together as I don't really know what I'm doing, lol

I’m in KC, but SW Mo is the not that far.

I’d be open to a group trip. Although I’m not much into the heat either. My camping season usually runs September though May.

Butterfield Hiking Trail would be a good one. It’s in NE AR.

We have also done Bell Mountain as well as Wilderness Trail. Both great hikes.
