Just sew the zipper to a netless hammock and zip on a $35 net and you have yourself an inexpensive zippered hammock.
You can buy just one half of a zipper?

Pretty sure the halves of the Vision zipper are the same.. buy one length, separate the halves and use one on each side to mate up to the bug net...
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

You can but you have to email us. We don't have them on the site.

This is not the case. Hammock half has teeth and starter pins, net half has both slider and take off boxes.

I've been using a Summer Sock with a netless for two years now. The Summer Sock is a great addition to your hammocking arsenal simply because it's a bug net, UQ Protector and wind guard all rolled into one. That said after two years I'm picking a Fronky this spring to try out as I'm getting old enough that I'm pretty much up at least once each night to "visit with nature". I'm just trying to avoid all the fumbling with the pull strings. As for zippers I have an older hammock with them and I'm less interested in fumbling with zippers than with the pull strings. If I like the Fronky bug net I'll likely add a winter sock for my cold weather camping.

    Just my 3.5 cents. YMMV.

I think I need to look up how a Fronky differs to a regular bug net

Depends on what you mean by 'regular'.

Fronkey is a standalone item. It drapes over the hammock from head to foot end and hangs well below the hammock using the Ridgeline and continuous loops to provide support overhead. Entry is typically from the button but there are versions that have a full length zipper running vertically up the middle of one or both side panels. I've never tried one but the challenge is getting your underquilt on while standing under and encumbered by the net. And it's a whole lot of bug meet to carry IMHO.

Alternatively, regular bug nets are integrated into the hammock enclosing the entire sleeping area. They can be removable via zippers/snaps or can be sewn on one side with a zipper on the other. Can also cover only half of the sleeping area (typically the head and torso) as in the Dutch Half Wit, or the removals version like the HUG.
