    I don't splice the shock cord per se... I use and Albright knot to transisiton from shock cord to what ever cordage is needed. Use it to transition between splicable and non splicable cord as well
    Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

    Hmm, never would have thought to use a fishing knot, but it makes sense with the transition between materials (line to leader).

    My shock cord was too thick. I just used a knitting needle to part the reflect-it and push it through and tie an overhand stopper knot. Works ok and I like the stronger shock cord.
