GOT A HANKERING TO GO ....... STILL DECIDING!!!!

Friday, Saturday out Sunday. Also my wife has 3 of her cousins coming for a yoga deal ...

    Any interest fellow Minnesotans?
I am just going ... will pay for site and head in.

It is wet and will be around freezing.
    Miserable and fun conditions.

Dang, I'd love to go but I have to work all day Friday and be back fairly early on Sunday so it would be too long a trip for just an overnighter. I am still planning to do an overnighter closer to the cities though anyway...looking like Wild River S.P. for me at this point. Crosby would be so much better but at least I can get out. I'm guessing not much if any snow on the trails at Wild River but I see Crosby still has about 16 inches...you're right, definitely be needing the snowshoes there.

Well .... good your getting out.
WR the trails out to the backpack sites are groomed ski trails .... may be pack snow.
I camped at the "Dry Hollow" campsite when I went to do some tarp shooting.
Are you going to bring your snowshoes .... you may need them. Post-holing is tiring!!!

MAN! I wish it wasn't so far; I wish it didn't coincide with long awaited plans (Canoecopia); I wish...

I thought it sounded familiar, but couldn't place it. This is what I found (pretty cool):

Can you park along Hwy 61 and hike up to that spot?
Not all who wander are lost.

I thought the tarp videos you shot looked like the Dry Hollow site...I was right! I don't think I'll be needing snow shoes actually. They closed the ski trails earlier this week and opened everything up to hiking. I went for a day hike last Saturday and there were already some bare spots on the packed trails. I am expecting mud and slop. I really need some water proof boots.
