    the $24 dollar question

    that's the limit i've set myself on fabric for my first hammock body.. now the best use of that? i'm 6'-6'1" and 170#

    Get a 50% off coupon at JoAnns and buy a few yards of their 1.9 ripstop nylon. You will only need a single layer and should easily come in under budget.

    I found what looks like 1.1 wally world fabric. I got enough fabric to make a double layer for $10. Get some chainlinks from Opie or Arrowhead for about another $10 and sew a channel in it for the chainlinks. There's $20 (minus tax and shipping).

    That's what I'm making next. Well not really me since I can't sew for squat but my wife will make for me. I don't necessarily trust the fabric for a single layer but double layer should hold up.

    Well gentleman.. i ended up buying fabric for 2 hammocks one nylon, one polyester and still came in under budget. now i'm going to go play with my fiance's power tools
