Looks good, and it also appears to be significantly thicker than the stuff Dutch and others sell.
Maybe some military-grade stuff for airdropping Abrams tanks and the like? I wouldn't be surprised to hear it has a 6000 lb break strength... maybe more!

Very possible. It was in my dad's basement and he is former Air Force. May have picked it up some time back, 20+ years ago possibly, from a surplus supply. Who knows. All finished, they are about 10 feet long and with the mesh bag I made they weigh in at 267 g. I know I could go lighter, but they are lighter than other material I currently own and they didn't cost anything.Originally Posted by cmoulder
