Best hammock for the super tall? 6'5" 245

Hi, Just got a Hennessy Jungle XL Zip and at 6'5" it just seems tight. Spoke with Dream Hammock, amazing customer service, and they suggested a 72" wide 11" long hammock. I wanted the double layer since I will be using a pad instead of a UQ. Any thoughts on width, size over all, and how best to side sleep for a very large human?

    Thanks

What may be of more importance is what is the length of your tarp? For instance, if 11' then you don't want anything over 11' in a hammock, and would need some extra width to make it comfy. I personally think 72" is too much, but the Dream folks do know their stuff. I'm thinking something like 11.5' x 66" might be a good fit, but that would require a longer tarp. Might check with Jared at SimplyLightDesigns.com as I'm sure he's come across this question before.

I'm 6'6" 260 and have a DH Sparrow that's 11' x 72". You definitely want every inch of that. There are some times where I think I might want even more.......but I don't want to spend another $350 to find out. Lol.

6 ft 5 and in the process of figuring out this very question. Started with an XLC and thought it was ok until my chameleon wide showed up. So much better fit for me. Now waiting for a Darian but looks to be about 84 hammocks ahead of me in the cue at DH Lol.

If you're not opposed to bridge hammocks you might talk with Just Bill (Bill Townsend) at Towns End Hammocks. He makes a Big Man bridge hammock and it working on an even bigger one.

Ah, forgot about that, yes indeed it is definitely worth looking at. I normally don't like side sleeping in a bridge, but his is very wide and you can hang your hands out the end. Its too much for someone like me, but it just may be the thing for you.
