    Thank you for the advice. I will be mostly backpacking in to sites in western Pennsylvania for weekend trips. Now I’m leaning towards the partial quilt. And worst that happens is it’ll be a great summer quilt and I’ll have a reason next year to look at more gear.

    Speaking of bulk, just last night I was watching some youtube and I have to admit I was a bit envious of some ground sleeper's pack loads. Carrying TWO quilts really bulks up my pack.

    So if you can get away with a 3/4 like FLTurtle mentioned, do it. I can't. Also, that brings up the premium vs economy. I know both are great, but I need to do all I can to reduce bulk, so I'm glad I bought all my quilts before the econ even came out...or else it would have been a painful decision.

    Oh, forgot one thing: I use a 40F Econ Phoenix. You mentioned 3 season for western PA...I'm in central FL. 40F counts as 3 season for me, pushing it though since it does drop into the 30s.
