    From your pic it looks as tho you may be using a largish size toggle. I wonder if you used something much smaller in diameter if that would let the Kevlar straps release the knot easier. I use Kevlar straps with the titanium toggles from Dutch, I weigh about 225lbs and haven't had an issue yet with Marlin Spike hitch. IDK, I'm still kinda new at this but maybe that would keep it from happening at all. Happy trails

    With a 2000lb break strength (assuming 1" wide 3.3g/ft variety) you're not going to break it. However, it can be damaged from friction/heat so it is important to pull it out in small increments to avoid this.
