I checked out the ugq that’s a great looking set up with some really cool pattern options, nice.

I was just looking at the SLD and they have a cool product as well. It’s synthetic and one at 20’ is the same price as HG. Though it is a nice design. It has the adjustable shockcord in the middle of the UQ so it’s easy to adjust in the Hammock. I really like that feature. The asymmetrical pattern looks like a good addiction too. What the general thoughts on this style?

I mentioned that one earlier on in this thread. There's another thread here that discusses it, along with a couple video reviews.

Here’s the hammock I’m using. The wife was in it reading a book last night.

Thanks for the idea, this lead me to put a WTB add up and in just moments I got a pm for a deal on on a used uq that is nicer than I was looking at. Itís in the range of the two UQ I had narrowed it down to. Even the same colors I would have ordered, plus no waiting.

HG premium incubator 20’ in camo. Just what I wanted in color and a step up in quality. Plus no 4 week wait. I’m stoked

I’ll post a pic when it arrives

While reading the thread, I've gone over to HG to poke around. My question is this. What does the various fill weights do for you if the temp rating remains the same? i.e. standard fill, 1 oz, 2 oz, etc.

Those are amounts of overfill you can specify in addition to the normal amount of down used in the quilt.

See my post #8 in this thread for my spin on why you'd choose overfill or not.

That post from cmc4free gives the details, seems like it buys insurance against loosing loft/ last longer.

As I have been reading up on that exact thought I find it interesting that most cottage vendors say they overstuff the quilts from the beginning the. You have the option to add even more. When you read the FAQ on HG site you find that if you migrate the down on occasion then that keeps you from getting cold spots. Shug has a video on it explaining the reasons behind it and how to do it.
