I recommend the Butterfield Hiking Trail in Devil's Den, AR. It's just south of Fayetteville. Beautiful trail.

Hawn State Park has a great loop. It's a beautiful area and the trail is that is only moderate difficulty. I would consider this just an overnight, because mileage is around 10 miles. Be prepared for a few water crossings, depending on rainfall. Our last visit was in the middle of spring rain season and the creeks were in rare conditions.

Yes, this. One of my first backpacking trips and it was very peaceful with a couple fun uphills that were just challenging enough and a nice view on top. Really great campsites also and keep an eye out for a few that are not on the map. Happy trails

Berryman Trail is about a 25 mile loop located near Potosi MO. There are two formal campsites on the trail, and at least one back-country site.

Whites Creek trail in southern MO is about 18 mile loop. https://www.hikingproject.com/trail/...es-creek-trail.

And Big Piney is another one near Rolla in the Paddy Creek Wilderness area. https://www.hikingproject.com/trail/...ig-piney-trail

Butterfield Hiking Trail is a great weekend trip. Iíve done it as a single overnighter, but would be quite strenuous for weekend warriors who donít hike very often. Itís around 18-20 miles IIRC. Running clockwise, the last couple miles are tough.
