    The results are a little surprising as that amount of water weight is equivalent to a large cup of coffee, or 2/3 a can of soda. ~13.25 cubic inches of water or a solid 1 mil film on an 8.5'x12' tarp. Guess that could be. But it would be interesting to see the guy line absorption vs. the tarp alone.

    Interesting discussion anyway.

    I have a .74 poncho that I can test in the next couple of days. It has zippers but nothing else that could absorb any water.

    I also have a 50' hank of 2mm Glowire that I could weigh dry and wet to find out how much it skews the results... I'll bet you're right to suspect that it's a lot!
