Ridgerunner is a game changer for me

First nap in the RR yesterday after work. Bought it from a forum member here. So easy to hang and get setup with the beetle buckles and straps. Got in laid flat on my side and woke up 45 minutes later to my kids playing in the yard. I never could sleep very well in my GE hammocks. Tried several, tried alcohol, tried hiking further just never quite a deep slumber. Gonna love this thing cannot wait for my first backpack with it.

Never happened in any of my GE hammocks. The Black bird was the most comfy and I could lay in it all day reading a book but never slept deeply enough to feel rested.

Bridge hammocks are addictive. My wife loves her RR. I've been sleeping in one or another bridge a LOT the past few weeks, including a week on the Foothills Trail. I'm wondering if I'm becoming a bridge bigot.

Yeah, first try in my RR was very comfy.
But once I added an ultralight, insulated pad (25"w Nemo Tensor Insulated), it was more like "OMG, this is like floating" - light years more comfortable than any GE.

What tensor size/shape do you have?

I right there with you. I tried and still try gathered end hammocks and while I can sleep after a long hike, my Ridgerunner is so much more comfortable. I'm a big fan of bridge hammocks especially the Warbonnet Ridgerunner.

The first time I hung my RR was in the garage (the weather was bad outside). When it was up, I thought, let me check this out. I woke up about 90 minutes later when my wife came out to look for me! I have enjoyed every minute in it since. There's nothing like a nap in it at the end of a day of backpacking or canoeing. I side and back sleep comfortably in the RR.

You guys have me sold! I love my WBBB but since I'm a side sleeper, I can't stay comfortable very long in it. Sounds like the RR is the way to go for me. I'll pass my BB to my son who is loving hammock camping as much as me!

I'm a side sleeper only and the rr feels like a mattress on my side.
