    UQP extra zipper tack?

Anyone have this configuration on their XLC or El Dorado UQP?

    Thoughts?

We talked about it a lot here:
    https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...LC-sock-system

I suggested the idea as it is currently designed and WBguy went with it and I ordered the first one

Thoughts? It does what it’s supposed to do and it looks very nice. It’s not significant, but I suppose it affects the feel of the lay a little bit, but I’m not sure why or if it’s even a concern. I haven’t done a real legit A/B test yet to finalize the way I would describe it. I certainly wouldn’t want to have the old design with just one zipper (see thread above for reasons why). If weight were top priority, I would argue that one with no zippers would probably be nearly as good. I think it just makes it look sleek and probably traps heat a little better compared to a regular zipperless UQP. Only zipping to the net with the original one zipper design loses the benefits of a typical zippered net hammock, which is a footbox to keep your TQ footbox in the hammock and having the net keep the fabric by your head under a little tension. Zipping the net to the hammock as usual and just letting the UQP zipper hang outside would be silly IMO, because why have a zippered UQP then?

Thanks for the info. My gut tells me to get the extra zipper tack.
