Yes sir! I would like to do the same as last time, but maybe not on Saturday due to all of the festivities. I will be much more prepared this time. The more the merrier.

When are you thinking? Thursday or Friday? Sunday in no good for us as the 10 - 12 hour drive must start before 9 AM.
PG and Pappy - we are looking forward to the trip down. Was there a theme for the pot luck that I may have missed?
Just attended our first MAHHA up here in PA. Met Dutch and Syntax77. I elect Matt to judge the knock knock jokes if no one else is willing.
Hope the stars align for you Bobo. It's always a pleasure.
Moosman and all - I passed on your note about the flan to wife and she offered to make another flan or a pumpkin flan. Y'all choose and I'll pack it nice for the drive.
Taz -Friday works fine. I agree with missing the other festivities when offsite.
From reading through this it sounds like enough good food for at least a week!

The local critters love a group hang ! Shug & I were in there 2yrs ago. I had a small soft cooler that we had some hushpuppys in that got carried off in the night. We had already consumed the pups.We were 200yrds from the parking area.

Sandman are you out there?
You are Yates...Y’all are Yates
We all are Yates!
Noobs and Old Pros alike are encouraged to communicate with one another to make a fun hang.
Otherwise our Potluck Supper could devolve to
“Ever man 4 hisself”
If additional sides, entrees, desserts, drinks are needed...someone could make a grocery run to Walmart or Food Lion, Saturday midday, with cash donations
Matt, you will be a great judge for our
Knock Knock Joke competition.
You will probably introduce our contestants and assist each kid and big kid by engaging in familiar patter.
Greet contestant, ask their name or trail name and repeat their name as an introduction.
Some kids will forget their knock joke—great fun
Sometimes if you tell one of your own, our contestant will remember their joke
Kid “Knock knock”
Matt “Who’s there?”
Kid “Lettuce”
Matt “Lettuce who?”
Kid “Lettuce in, its cold out here”
You will have a challenging job
You might want to learn a few Knock Knock Jokes to have a good banter with each contestant.
You might want to repeat their knock knock joke if kid has a shy quiet voice. To do this you might need an assistant or assist from audience to repeat Kids joke, so all can hear
To keep a good flow, you might want to add one of your knock knock jokes. Matt, when you add you knock knock joke (maybe one per contestant)
You will either need contestant or assistant to help with their “Who’s there” lines
A tough job, all judges will be amply rewarded
Thanks Matt

Hickery and Shug, if y’all are hiking Uwharrie trail, come by Yates to rest up on time change weekend. If Shooter can make it, campfire karaoke is on tap
