Does anyone know the rhyme or reason to the gate at the back of Yates? Is there a lock on it, is there a schedule for it to be opened, is there a reason for it to be closed?

That road is a dead end with a left turn that goes onto private property. Total length is maybe a mile. It just disappears into a path with trees fallen over it.

Thanks y'all. I took a couple friends out and wanted to get back off the main road to camp. The gate was open so I drove back until the private property and turned around. There really isn't much for "established" campsites except those right at the gate. I was surprised there was only a couple people out camping, the weather turned perfect overnight Friday for the weekend.

Peeeeetey, if anyone brings Evernew alcohol stove to “Purdy Boil” contest, I’ll be in trouble.
I’ll have to run two burners, each with half the water and pour them together when boiling.
Tazmaniac our judge has no published rules.
