I've hit Mohican pretty heavy over the past 4 or five years and never found it completely full. On one occasion, I misread the sign-in and wound up at 9 where another group was setting up. I just joined in (that is a DIFFERENT story!) Most sites are big enough that you can just spread out and be okay. I've used 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and all have room to expand if needed.

Marmaduke, where did you park? I see on the map that there is a small (2 car?) lot near 5 and 6. Did you go there or use the Bridle Lot?

I'm running into vehicle issues this month and probably won't get away from Columbus. They were supposed to have my Wrangler fixed yesterday, but i have to bring it back tomorrow morning. Grr.

I did park in the small lot across from the trailhead. It's the location recommended by the signage at the sign-in station. It's a hilly dirt road. I felt relatively comfortable leaving my car there as I saw a ranger drive by as we were putting our boots on, who stopped to chat and said they do drive-bys at night to check out parking lots.

I didn’t see a July thread. Anyone up for hanging this weekend?

I didn't post one for July, wasn't getting a lot of responses for a few months, so I sorta let it slide. Feel free to post your own, though! You might have better luck.

Diz and I got out to Punderson Lake last week....hot, humid and lots of skeeters and other nasties! High point was getting a chance to try out Diz's inflatable Kayak!
