Question NC> Uwharrie National Forest > June 22-23 2019 Summer Solstice Bike Packing trip

Anyone interested in doing a little bikepacking in the Uwharrie National Forest? I figure there is enough fire roads to explore for an overnight trip? see this link for further information Summer Solstice Trip

not really looking for big miles or something epic but more of a excuse to ride my bicycle in the woods and hammock camp!~

    Motorcycle or bicycle.

Wait, I clicked on the link. Looks like fun but that kind of bike is missing a motor.

You may need blinders cause of what hikers do on the summer solstice

Have a great ride, either way

I'd charge out there with you, Silver if I wasn't busy already. Uwharrie is a good time.

Silverpalm, I don’t have a bike, I’ve been hoping you’d install pegs on your back tire, lol...
I’m map app deficient, possibly can camp with y’all if I can find your campsite(s)
We backpacked into Uwharrie last weekend, had a great time learning from pros the finer points of hike in camping. Sometime between midnight and 300am I was glad to have underquilt to pull under hammock.
You can send me a pm so we can swap phone numbers wether we cross paths or not on Summer Solstice Bike Hang.
While we were in Uwharrie, lots of bikers on bicycle trails—one biker broke his leg and was extracted by fire truck, sheriff, 3 to 6 all terrain vehicles-with trailers, and 3 ambulances.
After trail food for several days, we were forced to try restaurant meal in nearby Albemarle—all good

Silverpalm, that’s ok, I might be camping at Yates on Saturday night with Hammock Forum members.
All I can say—be careful Big Foot sightings increase during Summer Solstice. While I don’t believe in Big Foot, Sasquatch May not believe in me. If I capture him on film, he may be stupid enough to venture close where I can tie him up and claim the CA$H PRIZE
Until then my friend Silverpalm and bike campers
    Stay cool in summer breeze!

When you plan on camping at Yates, might join you all. I need to get the old mountain bike out also.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.
