I wish they didn't sell the cheese factory to Tillamook! Now they don't even make Bandon cheese in Bandon anymore!!

I would love a hang on the coast sometime, but I am pretty new to this and I don't know many places to go. I am going this weekend to do a little fishing on the Salmonberry River to try out my new Lost River UQ. We'll see....

Sweet! Let me know how the LR does, as it is the exact model i am considering. Plenty of places on the coast to hang. A favorite spot of mine is Three Mile Lake in the Oregon Dunes, 10 miles south of Florence:

The ocean, dunes, forest and a lake all right there. I am planning to spend 3 or 4 days there the week of May 1. You are more than welcome to come along if you like.

That is a sweet website that I haven't seen. I may be up for that trip depending on schedule, wifey, kid, etc. Looks great. I will let you know how the LR does, as it is supposed to get down to the mid 30's the first night and low 40's on the second. Should be great!!

The Lost River worked great for me. I got the InsulTex upgrade as well, and it kept me warm. I used the UQ, a 30 degree synthetic sleeping bag, wool socks, shorts, a fleece top, and a wool beanie and I was warm all night. The temps dropped down to 38*.

It was a great little trip and I managed to hook into a nice Stealhead for about 30 minutes before he broke my line. He dropped down behind some rapids and I had a real struggle trying to get him back up. He got away, but it was awesome.
