It's unclear what point you're making. You say "and that's the issue," referring to an uninsulated air pad. The pad that Amok sells (if you buy their pad) is uninsulated, but it's rated to 25°F. I've had the XL Fjol down to 20° and was fine, so at least for me that rating is realistic. I know everyone is different, but the OP mentioned temps in the 30's and 40's which are not beyond the limits of the Fjol (if that's what they have).
Insulated or not, a pad is going to act as a vapor barrier and that combined with heavy base layers may result in some dampness. That seems equally likely to be the root of the issue.
But anyway, the OP disappeared from his/her own thread, and never did mention which pad is being used, so it's all irrelevant debate unless they want to come back and provide more info.

One reason I would never even consider a Draumr is that a pad is essential, and the pad is a vapor barrier. I can't deal with any kind of pad because of condensation, or sweat, or whatever you want to call it. I don't like waking up damp, with pools of condensation (or sweat) on the pad.
All three of my kids react the same to sleeping on pads so I'm not alone. However, the Draumr has its fans, so either those people don't get condensation (or don't sweat), or they don't mind it.

Thank you for your feedback. By your comments it seems as though I have the right top insulation and the right pad. My next step will be to ditch the heavy base layer.

You are right, I stand corrected. The insulation inside is so thin, I never noticed it was there. Thanks for pointing me toward the literature, which made me curious enough to go check the pad against hard lighting.
The OP has now mentioned their pad is an Exped. Amok is currently selling the Synmat UL LW, so if that is the pad in question, it is most likely built similarly to the Fjol. Aside from my mistake about the Fjol lacking insulation, the point remains that the pad seems to be suitable for the conditions the OP was having problems with. Reconsidering the base layers seems like the next logical step toward solving the problem.
