What lightweight blanket is there for summer hanging?

My 20 degree bag I used back in the day ended up being my every day blanket at home. And ended up destroyed, holes in it and such. Would like a nice cheaper blanket for summer hangs

How inexpensive are you trying to go? And how important is weight to you(car camping or backpacking)? HG econ burrow is quite affordable for a 40F down topquilt but that may be Overkill for you.

If weight is not an issue, maybe try a poncho liner. Prices vary wildly, but even the most expensive are rarely more than $30 and I've got one from eBay for less than $10. I added a drawstring at one end to make a faux footbox and have used it down to around 65 degrees F. Lighter weight options are available but few any cheaper.

I use the black diamond down throw from Costco as my summer top cover. I think it cost $20. Keeps me warm down into the low 60s-mid 50s when I also use my 40 degree 3/4 length UQ.

I have a couple of items I use depending on what the overnight temps and humidity will be. Please keep in mind, I don't hike but rather base camp and do day hikes so weight/bulk are not much of an issue for me.

First up in my Poncho liner top and bottom quilts. I also added a couple of draw strings to the top one so I can make a foot box (sort of) and did the no sew PLUQ. You can find the instructions on Derek's site, The Ultimate Hang. I use this set up down to about 50F and take it to the Blue Ridge mountains in the summer because temps can vary so much.

Next up in using the PLUQ and a fleece blanket I picked up for 15.00 from Home Depot online. This is my go to set up if temps are not going below 70F with humidity...this is the norm for July, August, and most of Sept where I live. I also use it a lot when I am in FL for the winters.

I have in the past used a Snugpak Jungle Blanket in the summer. It's just a rectangular blanket, but you could mod it into a topquilt with drawsting footbox if you were so inclined.
I now keep these in our vehicles for winter emergency use.

For me, the CDT is good right down to 50°. That's with a 20° UQ though.

Third this^^^

Used it this past weekend to 55 degrees w a 40 degree HG burrow. Slight breeze. A bit humid. Very comfy.

Used plastic KAM snaps to turn it into a “proper” top quilt using Sarge Vining’s YouTube video.

I still want a 60° TQ. Sewn bottom, so I can just tuck my feet in easy like any other TQ. I sleep indoors every night and nothing seems to be ideal. Right now I'm just using a cheap fleece blanket, but being flat, it's not easy to position like an actual quilt.

I woke up sweating a lot with the 40° TQ, so that's out.

You could get a Recon Series Ghost Pepper from Loco Libre but they're a bit pricey for such a warm weather quilt. And not available with sewn footbox, unless they're willing to customize that aspect.
