If anyone wants to swim at the best swimming hole in Sedona Arizona that is hammock friendly , check out Red Rock Crossing near SW Sedona. Pictures to follow as soon as my IPhone gets repaired.

I'm headed out there later this week. Figured I'd be doing just day trips. So you're saying I should pack my hammock?
"...the height of hammock snobbery!"
Oak Creek Canyon in general is very hammock friendly. . Lots of camp sites there. Plenty of trees to hang from in and around Sedona. The thing is to hang near the Creek, because it gets hot in Sedona this time of year, but way cooler than Phoenix. Flagstaff has yet cooler temps due to its 2500-3000 ft higher elevation, and yet more trees to hang from. Since you will be only 2 hours from the Grand Canyon and 4 hours from Monument Valley, definitely put that on your list of things to do. Also I highly recommend the Pink Jeep Tour in Sedona (AAA discount)...go for the Broken Arrow tour at Sunrise or Sunset, but avoid the middle of the day. and bring water! Loads of drop dead gorgeous hiking scenery in and around Sedona. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there (1 week). You will regret it if you don't bring your hammock, especially at Red Rock Crossing...this place begs for a hammock.. People were seriously green with envy watching me chill creekside in my Dream Hammock, hanging above the hard rocky ground.
Finally got my phone back. I was super impressed by Red Rock Crossing as a hammock friendly swimming hole.
