Campsites and water source at Bradley Gap (Roan Mountains - Carvers Gap to 19E)

Looking at doing an overnight with the wife at the Carvers Gap to 19E section at the end of the month and am trying to split the distance up so that day 2 is not longer than day 1. I've seen some reports that there is a spring at Bradley Gap between Little Hump and Hump but nothing concrete. Anyone know if that water source is reliable and if there are any decent options for hammocking in that area?

    Thanks.

Iíve always been able to get water out of that spring but I canít recall if Iíve been up there in July before.
I checked Guthook and it confirms the spring there but there a no recent reports on flow rate there either.

And yes some good hammock options in that area.

I can't recall spring locations between Carvers Gap and the Overmountain shelter/barn, but there is a piped spring at the barn along the gravel road in a curve. It's good water and easy to find. The short side hike to it and the barn is cool...nice view of the valley. There is a spring on the Humps, down the right side of the hill near a small tree. It is about where the map above shows, and you'll see a small trail to it. Hammock opportunities along the humps is poor due to the high growth of some kind of invasive species plant (I can't recall the name, but the plant had overran almost the whole area a couple years ago). I'd say push hard and camp at the barn, or the back side of the Humps when you get into the treeline. Also from the Little Hump there is a trail on the right that goes to Yellow Mnt. Preserve. It's worth the side trip for an hour and the view is awesome.
