    Superbly and Universal Hammock Stand

So I bought a SF to provide privacy and shelter while astronomy camping.

I plan to keep my scopes in the car when not in use, have a table for cooking (itís car camping) and hang from my universal hammock stand (I weigh about 315 lbs, so having a strong stand is important). The reason for the stand is that astronomy camping is done on an open field.

So, how would you set up the tarp with this kind of stand?

The stand can be seen at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071V89F8H...p_mob_ap_share. It is 126Ē long. The space used by the hammock is about 120Ē long, and I use a 10 ft hammock (Bear Buttódonít judgeóit works).

    Nate

Some one will probably be by soon with much better ideas. But, assuming there are no near by trees to run a-if needed- long line from tarp to trees, what about using some hiking poles or some other type of metal or wood poles, that will maybe break down into sections for travel? Like what I used to do when sleeping under a tarp on the ground, above timberline here the stars blow the mind. A hiking pole om each end of th tarp, a cord running from each hiking pole to the ground stake, and each side staked down. All you need are 2 poles that are long enough.

I wonder if the Tensa tarp extensions would work?

Yep. If the poles are long enough you could hang that hammock under that tarp.

Add some poles to the ends or get the Tensa Tarp extenders. They may work......
