Divinity: My estimated Drive time is 11-13 hours. I'm planning on leaving early Thursday, so depending on weather and traffic, I may not stay in a hotel Thursday. Glad to hear you and yours will be there on Thursday, I could skip the hotel. Looking for any good BBQ stops along the way, any suggestions? I'll be coming up I-65 through Montgomery to Birmingham then Jasper.

Just before you get in to Birmingham, In Homewood at Oxmoor Rd,, you can go to the left a short bit and find Jim and Nick's (best cheddar biscuits) or go right, in to downtown Homewood, for Saw's BBQ- the best smoked wings and white sauce.

Either way, you'll get a good meal.

Jim and nicks is hard to beat, my favorite is the beef brisket but really anything on the menu is good. I have never had a bad meal there. I should be there Friday afternoon and will do a mountain man breakfast for Saturday morning and maybe do some buffalo chicken dip for Saturday night. I can also bring firewood if we are not under a ban?
