Good afternoon all. I'm looking at upgrading to a DCF tarp in a couple months. I have looked at dutchware and a couple other vendors. I have 2 questions. Tarp with doors so I can use 4 seasons and what legnth ridgeline for an 11 foot hammock?

I use an 11ft tarp with my 11ft hammocks. I own two HG dcf tarps a standard with doors and an asym. Love love love them. Crazy weight savings and they're years old and pristine. I take good care of them though, hanging out after trips and what not. I personally feel HGs experience with cuben and final product to be better than all the vendors I've owned cuben from, including zpacks.
At usual sag angles, the 11 ft tarp will give you about a 1 ft overhang on each end of the 11 ft GE hammock. But remember, you may want more than just the hammock covered. The weight difference between 11 ft and 12 ft is probably pretty small - more of a pain is requiring trees further apart. If possible, see if there's a way you can estimate the coverage (cut up some cheap painters cover to size) you will get. Or, for example, sit in your hammock and imagine/visualize how much dry space you want around you if it is pour down rain.
I like some dry space around me, not just covering the hammock, so I'm prone to larger tarps.
On the trip I just returned from, I used a WB ThunderFly for my GE, Joy used my WB superfly for the Ridge Runner, and I had a WildernessLogics Bull Frog covering the picnic table.

I have a 12' HG Standard DCF w/doors, and I'm happy I went with the extra length. I like to hang my pack from one of the CLs of my hammock- so having the extra overhang is nice. The weight difference between the 11' & 12' options is negligible. Folks will bring up the point that you need wider tree spacing to hang a 12' tarp. While that may be true, I have yet to encounter a situation where I absolutely "had" to hang my hammock between such narrowly-spaced trees. Also, if you were in such a situation, you could always leave some extra slack along the ridgeline of the tarp when you string it up (let it 'smile' a bit), and then add the tension when staking out the guylines. I know it probably isn't the "ideal" pitch, but you'll probably only have to deal with it for one night, and it will still keep you dry.
I'm using a 10' SLD Trail Lair with my 11' Hammock Gear DCF standard tarp with doors and there is plenty of room. Personally, I like a tarp that's a foot longer than my hammock. I've used the same tarp with an 11 foot hammock and that fits fine..
HG had been making and selling DCF tarps for years and their customer service is top notch.
I would certainly get one with doors. The weight addition is negligible (especially for DCF) and you can always tie them out of the way if you don't want them. Even if you think that you are a fair weather hanger, one day you will want them. Like others have said and even as a gram weenie, I prefer a 12' tarp for my 11' hammocks because I like the extra room. Even though I don't always take them, I also have pole mods (either internal or external) for all of my tarps.
I use an 11' HammockGear standard DCF with doors over my 11' gathered end hammocks. Works like a charm.
I switch to an 11' silpoly super wide tarp only for windy, frigid weather when when wind chills are single digits or below.

Sounds like I will be going with hammock gear. I want one with doors so I'm torn between the palace or the normal doored dcf tarp. I will go 12 foot on either one

If you are getting one of those, spend the extra cash and the little extra weight for the palace. Its more of a true 4 season tarp. I have the HG tarp w doors and love it, but wish it went a bit lower for the colder months
