Of whoopie slings and hammock straps

So, I have a set of whoopie slings I have yet to use. I also have a set of straps with buckles instead of loops. Do I need 'biners for this set up or is that something I can ditch?

Thanks for any and all replies.

I would think buckled on straps would hold a Whoopie sling just fine. Test locally and sit gingerly!

I decided to get continuous loops - 15 inchers with whoopie hooks strung on them for gathering the ends of my hammock and 8 inchers to larks head around my cinch buckle. They are color-coded in my daughter's college colors so I can designate the head end from the foot end.

Thank you all for your input and helping me figure out what to do
