need source for mosquito netting (not no-seeum) fabric

It is summer in the south and that means that it is hot, humid and there are lots of blood sucking mosquitoes flying around.

I have build a chameleon clone with a detachable bugnet made from no-seeum.

My choice is between sweating all night because any breeze that might come my way is blocked by the no-seeum or opening up and becoming a blood donation center.

need some recommendations for a source for some light weight mosquito netting that will not completely block the air flow.

I know he doesn't necessarily recommend it, but Kyle has monolite (ripstop by the roll) and it is lighter than no-seeum plus I believe more translucent. Blocks more air likely but...

Tulle would work. Both lighter and more breathable - with the disadvantage of being more fragile. Make a Fronkey style net that weighs less than an integrated net!

I've used one and it just plain works. In fact I think I'll build another!

I have had good luck lately with hobby lobbies 'red wrappered' tulle- last weekend we had granddaughter and she wanted to go camping so we went but in the backyard. Temps 60 low with100+ during the day. I had to make 3 bug nets ASAP- HL here I come. By the time I got started the little suckers were already out- they got to me going into the house. I decided to set each hammock up as I finished each BN thereby keeping the little suckers out of the setup as much as possible. I finished the third BN about 11PM and went out to set up and found the wife and gd. sound asleep.We were set up under a TS beige 9x12 tarp (for shade during the day/ no rain in forcast). Netting held up fine 2days/3 nites- it is a lot sturdier material than the diy scrubby tarp skin made from a loofa.

Also look at Ripstop by the Roll for various weaves of netting.

As others have said, tulle is crazy light and will work. I made a half bug net from it a few years ago and used it for a while, but it was also delicate and ended up lasting only one season. I'd consider it temporary, but if you can accept that limitation you might like it.

Mosquito net with 165 holes per inch vs no see um @ 1800+ per inch.
They offer precut packages or custom length cuts.
Some of their pre made bed curtains may work as a large net room?

All net blocks some wind.
Treat gear with permethrin.
Use a Thermacell.

I have used one of those pop up net rooms before. I slit a gap in the netting to allow suspension to run thru to trees.

RBTR has 3 weights of mesh - 0.5, 0.67, & 0.9 oz per sq yard. Monolite is 1.0 oz per sq yard, making it a little heavier than their heaviest mesh and twice as heavy as their lightest.

I've made DIY bug nets of all sorts... Used the Monolite, the 0.5 nano-noseeum and the 0.67. Never used the 0.9 as it's heavier than I want to carry when all done. My humble opinion.. the Monolite makes a better hammock than it does a bug net. Doesn't breathe much and is heavy as far as bug netting goes. 0.5 is what is used to make quilt baffles. It actually breathes well, but it's really wispy and the slightest breeze flutters it around. 0.67 is about the best option for me. True, it doesn't breathe as well as using nothing, but it's the best I've tried

That's an interesting site. I agree with the permethrin treatment on everything.
