Sorry for the tardy response, Olde Man, I have been out of town. There is no potable water at the site. You can bring ample water or I will have my Platy Gravity feed filter for lake water. There is a spigot at the visitor’s center that can be utilized for refills, it just means a drive.

Alright, we are a week away from the hand in Land Between the Lakes. Here are a couple of reminders.
1. Each person will need a Backcounty camping permit. This can be obtained online at lbl.org or stop by one of the visitor’s centers before 5 pm. The permit is good for 3 days and costs $7. If you think you will revisit, go ahead and purchase the yearly pass for $30.

There will be a communal dinner on Saturday. Bring something you would enjoy and enough to share. It doesn’t have to feed an army, just a potluck size.

A good time was had by all this weekend. Some kayaked, some hiked, some biked and all of us ate well. Special thanks to Olde Man for making the trip. Oh man this will teach me a lesson on not getting on here to check the forums more regularly! This was only a short drive for me, I just took a short hike from Nickel Branch just yesterday! Looks like y'all had a lot of fun, hope someone decides to do another group hang in LBL sometime!
