Last year we lost one of our forum members who I was close to. Sqidmark was a long time member, and friend and shared with the HammockForum.net community freely and often. I shared some time with his family last week and came home with most of his trail gear because his family simply didn't want to deal with it. I am offering it up to our members as a way to help newer folks gear up, but mostly to honor Sqidmark and to keep his gear out on the trail.
I am listing three bundles of Sqidmark's gear.. All suspension this time. These bundles can't be broken up or mixed and matched.. take them as they are. I am doing my best to put together salient groupings. Once these three bundles are on their way, I will list a new set as time allows.
Rules:
- Items are offered as bundles only, no mix/match and don't ask me to divide anything.
- A simple lottery system will determine who receives each bundle;
- This round of items will close at midnight on Tuesday, August 13th, after which I will draw one random number for each bundle, using a random number generator;
- If you want to participate, post in this thread "I'm in for Bundle #x". Your time stamp will put you in a list for each bundle;
- Each person can participate in only one bundle lottery and those who won previous lottery, can not participate in any future bundles. Just trying to spread the wealth;
- Winning participants will be responsible only for the cost of shipping and all of these items will be shipped via a flat rate padded envelope;
- I apologize, but no international shipping please. I know we have a very broad audience, but this needs to be limited to the Con-US for logistics;
- Oh.. one last requirement.. keeping the spirit of these offerings in mind, I am asking lottery winners to forward at least one picture of your item(s) in the wild to share with Sqid's family...
PS - At the request of Sqidmark's family I never posted of his passing. Please be respectful of their request for privacy.

Round II-Bundle #1 - DutchwareGear 3.3 Kevlar Tree Straps & Amsteel UCRs
- These are used, but in perfectly good condition.
- DutchwareGear 3.3 Kevlar six foot tree straps with 7/64th Amsteel Evo Loops
- 7/64th Amsteel UCRs that terminate in a Diamond Knot that gets captured by the continuous loop on your hammock
- Truth be told... the straps were Sqidmarks, the UCRs are mine.. seems appropriate.
Round II-Bundle #2 - MyersTech Hammock Lab 15' Dyneema Tree Straps & Suspension roll (For the Becket / J-Bend fans!)
Doesn't look like Sqidmark used these at all. We were trying to perfect a single line suspension and never got around to finalizing it.
- MyersTech Hammock Lab Dyneema straps, fifteen foot, with 1/4" Amsteel Grapplers Hitch (sewn on Omni Tape strip to hold the straps rolled)
- Three pocket silpoly suspension roll with slots for six Mini Ground-Hog or similarly small stakes
Round II-Bundle #3 - DutchwareGear Spider Straps, Whoopie Slings w/ DutchwareGear Double Whoopie Hooks
- Twelve foot DWG Spider Straps that appear to be unused.. might not have been unrolled either..
- 7/64th Amsteel Whoopie Slings with DWG Double Whoopie Hooks in the tradition whoopie hook configuration
