Tenacious Tape Mesh Patch if you don't want to take a needle and thread to it...

Gear Aid's Tenacious Mesh Repair Tape is by far the best and no sewing! Sticks on and doesn't come off. Since your in Canada, you can get it at any MEC or Bass Pro Shop/Cabellas .

Just recv'd a pack of them from Amaozn... Not for repair but to reinforce a stress point on a DIY hammock. They are great. Sticks like velcro and if you take your time you can line up the mesh to make the patch less noticeable.
